"One my biggest inspirations is Queala Clancy. I love her explosive and articulate movements, as well as how she uses the full space on any stage with a reach or a leg full of power. I hope one day to be a full on power house like Queala."
-James MahKween |
The official development of the MahKween Method began in 2013 when creator, James MahKween, came across a single dancer longing to learn his style of movement.
His inspiration stems from a deep rooted love of dance and training in various styles including Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, West African, Tap, Contemporary, Afro-Fusion, and Praise Dancing, to name a few. Once James found a way to connect all these styles into one, the MahKween Method was born. "I see the MahKween Method becoming a company that tells the stories of my life and the lives of those who've impacted me. I see it becoming a recreational center and academy of arts for those like me who did not always have access to arts education due to finances, availibilty, or other reasons." -James MahKween The MahKween Method is based in athleticism with a fusion of grounded and fluid dance styles. One could expect anything from high pike jumps to chaine turns on the floor. Click Here to make a donation & support the MahKween Method! |
